What Is Circuit Setting?
Our route setters scale our bouldering climbs on a tiered system called the circuit system. This system developed in Europe as a way to gauge the varying level of bouldering problems and help train climbers for their outdoor ascents.
We chose to adopt the circuit system for its ability to push climbers outside of their comfort zone and break through personal plateaus. Instead of focusing on the difficulty of a climb, using the more popular v-scale grading system, climbers can focus on the problem at hand and attempt routes they might not have considered otherwise.

Each color in our circuit system can be a range of three grades, allowing climbers to work problems above or below their average climbing abilities. The circuit system lowers the barrier of entry for climbers seeking to level up their skills and takes the ego out of the equation. In turn, climbers build strength, sharpen problem solving skills, and perfect their overall climbing technique.
